Our Actions
Six complementary levers to protect children
From prevention to guidance, Voix d'Enfants ASBL runs a continuous programme designed so that no child faces violence alone.

Prevent
Prevention aims to reduce the risk of sexual violence before it happens. It involves informing families, children and professionals about the mechanisms of violence and how to protect against it.
We develop materials and interventions tailored to each audience, so that prevention becomes a reflex shared by every adult around a child.

Inform
Informing means giving everyone clear reference points: recognising warning signs, understanding the Belgian legal framework, and knowing who to turn to in case of doubt.
Our information resources are aimed at both children and adults, using language adapted to each age and situation.

Listen
Listening is at the heart of our mission. It gives a child, parent or relative a space where their words can be laid down, without pressure or judgment.
This listening always respects the person's own pace and never seeks details that would expose the child to further trauma.

Guide
When a situation requires it, our role is to guide children, families and professionals towards the appropriate services: youth protection, social support, medical or judicial sectors.
This guidance relies on a thorough knowledge of the resources available in Belgium, to avoid unnecessary or discouraging paths.

Raise awareness
Awareness-raising mobilises society as a whole: schools, institutions, child-protection professionals and the general public, so that protecting children becomes everyone's responsibility.
We take part in events, training sessions and campaigns to push back the taboos surrounding sexual violence against children.

Educate
Education gives children the words and the reference points to understand their body, their rights, and the boundaries no one may cross.
